my story
Growing up in Arkansas, I spent a lot of time exploring the natural world, which inspired me to explore creativity in many forms. As I got older, my appreciation for the natural world only deepened, which led me to draw, paint, and take photos of nature.
Growing up in Arkansas, I spent a lot of time exploring the natural world, which inspired me to explore creativity in many forms. As I got older, my appreciation for the natural world only deepened, which led me to draw, paint, and take photos of nature.
While in college, I discovered graphic design, which allowed me to combine my passions for technology and creativity. After earning my degree in graphic design, I spent many years in the printing and design industry, where I was able to improve my creative skills and learn about the technical aspects of printing. During my free time, I taught myself HTML & CSS, and designed a few websites for small businesses.
As time went on, I felt that I had explored everything that interested me in printing and wanted to pursue something new that aligned with my values. Given my love for creativity and technology, I explored the field of UX design, which combines both of these passions in a synergistic way. Moreover, I was drawn to the idea of making a positive impact in people’s lives by helping them with their physical and mental wellbeing. As a UX designer, I aim to work on projects that do just that, whether it’s helping someone plan a multi-day backpacking trip or helping them stay engaged and connected.
